When you think about customer service for ANY business, it's so vital that you make the RIGHT first impression with your consumer and clients. - Social Media: Social Media is truly the new customer service in 2016. Companies are understanding this and realizing that this is important and putting their resources in this area. - Chat Bots (Virtual Agents/AI): One of my classmates from Georgia Tech Monique (founder of ThePartyMatch and TPMFocus) discussed this on her Periscope the other night and she was ABSOLUTELY right about everything she discussed. Chat Bots are basically programed artificial intelligence that will allow you to engage in conversation with your customers on your behalf. It saves you time and usually can answer general questions your consumers have about their order or purchase. Here is a great example of a chat bot:
- Hire a Customer Support Team Company: Sometimes you might not have the time or team to run your support channels. This is where hiring a company can come in. They can fine stream a process and script to say to your consumers based on their questions (even handle difficult customer service issues).
