My obsession with productivity daily is solved by Evernote

As you can see from the definition above, an obsession is “the state of being obsessed with someone or something” and for me that something is Evernote.

I came in contact with Evernote during my last two semesters of graduate school at Georgia Tech and I was instantly in love. While in B-School, organization for me was key especially with various individual and group projects but I must say during my final semester Evernote was clutch.

The obsession got more real when I transitioned full-time into entrepreneurship in 2014. Being able to keep my business & personal notes separate has truly been a lifesaver. Even two years later, Evernote is still my go-to system on a daily basis for my business (and personal) life.  When I became an Evernote Certified Consultant, I understood even more about the value of this system for my business. So as you can see, my obsession has been one I can talk about all day but here is why using Evernote on a daily basis is GOOD for your Business:

1. It’s your new organizational BFF: I can talk with people about various projects via work chat or I can use the web clipper to capture content that will be really important to me. You can share your notes to the public if you’re doing a webinar or mini-course, scan business cards into a notebook, and even take a snap shot of a whiteboard from your meeting to share with your colleagues. I have created notebooks and notes for numerous things. From business ideas to my daily intentions, Evernote is indeed my new Bestie. This is especially crucial for an entrepreneur on the go.

2. Keeps your personal and business life separate: In entrepreneurship, there definitely has to be some sort of balance. There are many ways an entrepreneur can get burnt out and one way is through organization. I realized originally with my personal account how beneficial it would be to keep my business notes separate. I always have creativity flowing when i’m on the go but I don’t want to confuse those thoughts in my personal notebook especially if it is business related. It’s all about balance and this is something I have been working on through my Evernote.

3. It helps your sales funnel: Many people don’t understand how important the funnel is for your business. Evernote can help out with this by keeping you accountable of daily task, updating client activity, and helping you focus on the products/services you provide to your customers. With many integration tools and resources, there is no reason you can’t be successful with your sales funnel. You can create a CRM template within an Evernote notebook to help with lead generation and follow-up with clients. You can also sketch out product/services ideas so that you and your team can understand the vision. All of these things are important for your business.

Now keep in mind, there are many different tools like this on the market but this happens to work best for me. I definitely know if you give Evernote a chance, you won’t regret it. If I had to get in front of a microphone right now, I would probably say: Hi, I’m Kristen and I’m a Evernote-a-holic”. I don’t know what my life was like before Evernote and I never plan to answer that question, EVER.
